Originally written in 2003, "Push" became a fan favorite. It was first released on the PRIMER EP (2005) and was subsequently licensed into the TV shows Supernatural (Warner Bros.), Next (MTV), Cribs (MTV), the A&E Biography of Metallica, and the A&E Biography of Nirvana. For the CHARACTER ASSASSINATION album (2008), Robby "RAMzi" McDaniel inspired a harder edge, "metalized" version of the song.

In July of 2018, Autumn's Descent returned to the stage for the first time in 7 years, at AudioFeed Festival in Urbana, IL. The majority of the set list was coming from the forthcoming RESCINDING DEADLETTERS album, but this one couldn't be left out. So, in preparation for the show, Push was re-recorded from scratch to bring it into more modern arrangement & production.

* Just to clarify, Push will not be on RESCINDING DEADLETTERS.

So what is this song about? A broken, dead relationship - the unwanted memory of which still lingers. This lyrics are full of sarcasm, self reflection, anguish, and anger while wrestling with her ghost.
