In the mid 1990's, some of our musical heroes released songs / albums where the subject matter focused on the abuse they suffered at the hands of people they were expected to trust. Our hearts broke for them and we wanted to lift them up. Overall, this song is about picking up your brother who has fallen or is down and out. Don't let abuse define you. Rise above it.

The concept and shell of this song were brought to the table by Asche Relesser in 2004. We are so excited to see that in 2019, many of those musical heroes have moved beyond the pain of their abuse and gone on to use their experiences to help others who are suffering. - Mehringer
