Since the follow up to DEADLETTERS (2003) was taking longer than expected, Autumn's Descent decided to release a 3-song EP as a teaser of things to come. Track Name: Cancer
I swore I'd never look back and now I'm facing down
I thought I'd left this behind - this taste of dirt in my mouth
I'm such a hypocrite - come see the guilty man
Standing so proud and proper, and then I fall again

No cancer to call my own
Could I be any more wrong?

Another spineless repeat of the same disease
It seems I'm hell-bent on writing my own tragedy
I need to end this cycle; I need to break the chain
But my will just fails me again
Oh God, deliver me

And it feels like a hunger that I've fed a thousand times
And the more I feed the more it leaves me empty
So won't you take this away?
Please, God, just take this away
I'm just so tired of being a slave to this disease
Track Name: Push (2005 version)
Now I've broken my last promise to me
And I know I've been through worse misery
Seems to be the only company that I keep
And I find you're no exception
In my time of need you walked out on me

Everything is beautiful
Everything is dead
Don't you talk to me of gravity
When you push me over the edge

And I drop the hammer down to my feet
And I shake that cursed demon taunting me
Memories of my broken past: bittersweet
And I know the pain you bring down me... repeatedly

Push comes to shove
Track Name: Something Else is Something More (SEISM) (2005)
Poor thing, broken-hearted. Nothing can get you started
You're motivation starved and to the world you are unconscious

How do you seem to know you're going to get what you wanted
How do you work so hard and end up right where you started?

How can I watch you play your self destructive game?
You think you're so immune but it's catching up to -

You said you think there's something more
Something else is something more

Tripped up another object. Delayed another topic.
Too sick to go to work but good enough to hit the party

Not that I care to see or hear your tales of tragedy
You're lost in a world of dreams and blind to reality
